OPERATION MAYFLY returns for Spring Bank Holiday 2026. Every May, since 2019, we brew, package, distribute and then drink Operation Mayfly. The hops and participating venues vary from year to year, but the mission remains the same: have multiple taps across the UK launching and pouring the beer simultaneously. This year’s launch date is Friday 22nd May.
For the 2026 version we’ve chosen a dry hop trio of Idaho 7, Strata, and Citra. Expect a smooth mouthfeel, and aromas and flavours of stonefruit and citrus.

Draught keg at the Castle, Leicester. Light gold, straw really, with almost chartreuse hue. Hazy with a small white head. So much going on in the aroma here. Melon, citrus, dried herbs. Taste is only sweet for a nanosecond and then gives way to an all over the tongue bitterness which ushers in the finish. Body is pretty watery, heavy carbonation helps a bit. Impressive.
