Draught @ Barleycorn. Cloudy dark amber with small whitish foamy head, faint caramel aroma, low carbonation, sweetish roasted malt taste, medium finish with bitter aftertaste. Nice and easy to drink.

On tap at B&D gastropub. Clear light amber with medium beige head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, light carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is herbal hops, caramel malt, and some grain. Easy to drink.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber orange with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of bread and grains with a bit of hoppiness underlying. Flavor has lots of bread and grain with some pine hops coming through in the finish.

Purchased at Mariano's in Chicago, IL; enjoyed near the lakefront at a friends going away party. Appearance is a dark murky brown with a thin white head. Aroma is malty, mostly caramel and light syrup, decent. Taste is good, mostly malty, moderate potency. Overall good stuff.

Hoppy head with a little roast here. Like a strong brown ale. Finishes a little bitter, a little bit of a rusty taste as well. Orangy brown pour with ok head and lacing. Tall can at American Ice.

Can: Honey, caramel, and pine aroma, malty. Murky ochre, thin yellow head. Full body, a little hot. Piney bitterness, honey underneath, kind of muddled. Grapefruit peel finish as the maltiness fades away. Tasty.

Can: Pours cloudy, iced-tea brown with a short, tan head. Toasty bread, caramel aroma. Taste is rye malt, caramel. Bitter resin and alcohol. Not exactly enjoyable...a bit harsh.
