An offshoot of our Blueberry Nectar, Charlatan is a blueberry mead that is treated like red wine. Left dry and aged in a wine barrel, this is sure to intrigue.

375 ml corked bottle from 2017. Initial smell is of a re Cabernet, kind og dry, but with barrel notes coming up. Some blueberry comes up in the nose after that. Appearance is dark purple, like a berry wine. Taste offers more of its barrel aging, with a dry and tart berry palate. Nice, but just not as sweet as I'd want from a mead. Like a nice red wine with some berry overtones.
