Bottle, 11C (bottle advises to serve at room temp _and_ at 4-6C), better as it warmed. Clear brown with an off white head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee and nuts. A little watery and rather overcarbonated for this sort of thing. Modest sweetness with some toffee, a little chocolate and nuts. Balancing grassy bitterness with some cocoa.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a huge rocky light tan head. The aroma has light notes of hops, elderflower, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, as well as lighter notes of elderflowers and hops, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Pours dark amber with a creamy off-white head.Aroma is very malty with huge amounts of caramel, toffee and toasty malt. Little in the way of hops, a faint earthy and grassy note is just noticeable.Flavours share the rich malt notes previously mentioned, before some grassy hops and a one-dimensional boring bitterness rolls through.Carbonation is way over the top, creating quite a dry finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, deep amber with a tall, dense and handsome, beige head, that leaves some lacework. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with roasted malt accents and then and odd gingery tang. A little low in carbonation. Dry, lightly bitter finish. Uninteresting and not really to style. 260108
