Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Black with a nice brown head. Lovely biog roasty aroma with lots of coffee, some dark chocolate and an alcohol note. Slightly sweetish and slightly acidic flavor, burnt, with lots of coffee and a bitter finish. Thick full body. Great stuff.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 27 Sep 2014) Black colour with frothy, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with sweet espresso, dark chocolate and muscovado sugar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of strong sweet coffee, dark chocolate, a touch of soy sauce, dark fruit and a fairly sweet finish with a generous coffee bitterness. Full body, oily mouthfeel, with a certain sweetness. Quite powerful, with lots of black coffee. Excellent beer!

375ml bottle pours a very murky, opaque black with some creamy, beige head. Nose has fresh coffee bean, reminded me a bit of the fruity beans that come out of barrels, some wet earth, licorice, mild booze, some cola, some raisin, but mostly just nice/approachable coffee bean. Flavor has some more complexity, molasses, licorice, some distinct char, roasted malt, coffee beans, cola, some barbeque sauce, some plum, a little duck sauce, a little black cherry. Interestingly, a lot of the flavors can also be found in high end coffee bean. Full bodied, lightly hot finish.

Bottle - Dark roast coffee, roast malts, licorice and more roast coffee. Jet black with a rich brown head. Huge roast and espresso bean. A light sweetness along with the roast evens it out a bit.

Niesamowity RIS.
