330ml bottle into shaker. Bronze coloured beer with thin creamy head. Nose is malt and distant fruit. Smooth texture with a dark caramel malt taste. Finish is slightly bitter with more caramel. My wife found this bottle at her work and it is waaaaayyyyy past its BB date but still a nice bitter, full of flavour.

On tap at the Last Kitchen in Fox Glacier. Malt profile is pretty decent, but there’s not much beyond that. Biscuits, toffee, little dried fruit. Drinkable but not the best.

Lots of floral fragrances give way quickly to marshmallow and honey, then finally some earthy notes including dirt, metal and sump oil. In the mouth it’s more hoppy with good length and a reasonable malt structure. It could probably do with a little more bite, but it’s an enjoyable drop.

Bottle. A collision between sweet fruity and nutty malts, and some decent hops. Toffee and caramel notes too, before a decent bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Pours dark amber/red with a large but short-lasting head.Nose shows generous amounts of toasty, nutty malt with some caramel in there too. In the way of hops there’s a faint fruity character. Loving the malt though. Some of the nutty malt transfers through as a flavours but overall the malt profile seems overly metallic. Finishes with a weak bitterness and that metallic character.Carbonation is much too high.
