This blonde abbey beer, which has been re-fermented in the bottle, is both a thirst-quencher and a special beer. Lovely fruit on the nose, citrus, malt, fruit and hops will excite your taste buds, giving way to a long, dry finish.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours clear yellow - blonde with a medium, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, doughy, white bread, grain husks, cereal, some spice, dull banana and melon. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, touch of bitterness, toasty grains, cereal, spice, bread, straw, grass, muted estery fruits, melon and a nip of alcohol with drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation, fluffy carbonation. Reasonable blonde. Good boost edge. Not a huge amount of depth, but drinkable.

opalescent pale yellow colour, huge, dense and long lasting ivory-ish white head; aroma of lemon zest, orange peel oils, grainy, grassy, some green herbal (basil?), slight floral and apple peel notes; taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with some hoppy bitterness; good one

330ml bottle bought from the Offie and drunk at home. Light gold and clear with a small layer of white head. Banana, buttered toast, hay, some light ripe citrus in the aroma. Bittersweet aroma, nice balance with some lemon peel and TCP in the finish. Heavy carbonation. Not the most exciting Belgian blonde but certainly worth drinking.

@home poured into a small chalice. Clear medium golden colour, lots of bubbles, good frothy white head, half-way lasting. Thin layer with yeast circles remains, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, Belgian yeast, citrus, light banana. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, yeast, lemon, spicy hops. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, medium sweetbitter aftertaste, orange pith, some cardboard and a bit metallic, quaffable, solid blond.

330ml bottle. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is grainy malt, yeasty, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light, crisp, yeasty, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Quite inoffensive. Somewhat sessionable.

Tight white fluffy head stayed on a clear pale golden, slowly carbonating body. Belgian yeast & bubble gum aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the tongue with a cloying back. Belgian yeast, confectionery, citrus & pale malt tastes with a long tangy bitter finish. Thirst Quenching
