Can. Deep brown pour with a small beige head. Nose is heavy roast with a light sweetness. Taste is more of the deep roast, light hints of smoke and a modest bitter end.

Tap at The Fisherman’s in Seattle. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma is dark malt with some chocolate. Approaching full body. Flavor is a match to the aroma. Earthy, dry, bitter and tasty.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 1 March 2020) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and cacao. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, black rye bread and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Nothing unexpected, just a really tasty, solid and well made porter. Very nice.

650ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, toasty dark malty and fruity hoppy aroma, notes of cocoa, hints of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, plum, fig, red and blue berries. raisin. Taste is dry, roasty-spicy dark malty, notes of cocoa, liquorice, some marmite, hints of dried fruit, raisin, plum, fig. Slightly overcarbonated - too prickly and minimally flavour absorbing. Quite rich and complex.

Big sharp roast with light caramel. My kind of thing. Black pours with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Tap at Seattle Taphouse.

On tap at FIVE in Edmonds, WA. Pours dark dark brown, nearly black, with amber highlights and beige foam. Taste is bittersweet and roasty. Not pushing any boundaries, but it’s good.

Draft. Nice brown pour, roasted coffee, some sweet caramel. Leans more to the dry roasty side with the lighter sweetness just adding a nice balance.
