Our Robust Porter is brewed with eight malts to make a roasty brew with coffee and chocolate in the nose, balanced by complex caramel malt flavor and a medium full, malty mouthfeel. One of the five beers we had on draft the day we opened!

650ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, toasty dark malty and fruity hoppy aroma, notes of cocoa, hints of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, plum, fig, red and blue berries. raisin. Taste is dry, roasty-spicy dark malty, notes of cocoa, liquorice, some marmite, hints of dried fruit, raisin, plum, fig. Slightly overcarbonated - too prickly and minimally flavour absorbing. Quite rich and complex.

Big sharp roast with light caramel. My kind of thing. Black pours with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Tap at Seattle Taphouse.

Draft. Nice brown pour, roasted coffee, some sweet caramel. Leans more to the dry roasty side with the lighter sweetness just adding a nice balance.

Keg at CASC. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of coffee and Twiglets. Flavour follows suit - wood, earth and filter coffee. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Quite weak and watery.

Draft at the brewery. Opaque brown with strong coffee aroma. Chocolate, grain and caramel dominate the taste of this full-bodied beer. Pleasantly lingering malt finish.

Medium brown. Nutty, chocolatey nose. Same palate, good complexity, really nice dark malt complexity. Lingering hop character, and quite bitter. Basically a black IPA.
