We took our pilsener and “dry-hopped” it with roasted jalapenos. The result is a well-balanced beer with a very intoxicating peppery-type aroma, great jalapeno flavor, and just a bit of lingering heat.

This is a seasonal beer, so watch for it from mid-Summer to early Fall.

Pours hazy light gold into an English pint. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Jalapeno and caramel aromas. Soft with sweet caramel upfront turning to warm, fresh jalapeno before the lasting, charred sourdough finish.

On tap at Throwback, pours a clear dull blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out crisp crackery malt and lots of jalapeo flavour without the spiciness. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of jalapeo flavour without a lick of spiciness. Fun but simply and boring. Meh.

Keg pour from Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival. Aroma is dominated by jalapeno pepper with some malt. Appearance is clear yellow with mild sparkle, nice head and lacing. Taste is dominated by the spicy jalapeno. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, average to lively carbonation, spicy. Overall, kudos for being interesting and unique. But, it is so dominated by the spiciness that it is a bit of a one-trick pony. Would go great with Mexican food or if you like spicy, hot anything or if you want the odd experience but can’t imagine having with any regularity.

Thanks Beerandblues2 for this! Yellow colored, clear pour. Aroma has touch of jalepenos to it, light malts. Flavor is a nice spicy note, with some notes of heat on the finish. Pretty good!
