This pale ale is a mind-bending whirl of the aromas and flavors of blood orange and Northwest hops.

The appearance was a hazy orange color with a one and half finger white foamy head that dies to a lumpy looking film coating the top of the beer, decent amount of light foamy lacing graces the sides of the glass.
The smell had some orange with light spice combined and amplifying a nice refreshing aspect.
The taste was mainly sweet through the orange and spice. Itβs kinda like drinking orange juice to an extent. Sticky sweet orange aftertaste leading into a nice crisp refreshing dry finish.
M: light to medium, sessionable - yes, ABV feels very appropriate for what is told, carbonation is good for the style and for me as thereβs the appropriate amount for an American Pale Ale lending a nice sweet coating around the mouth and tongue.
Overall, I say this is a pretty good APA well worthy of coming back to and well worthy of having it with its respected food.

Draught at the brewpub, Pike st.
Cloudy blond color. Light orange aroma. It has a light orange touch, besides that itβs also a nice light Pale Ale.

12oz pour at City Taphouse DC. Very hazy gold with some lacing, white head. Nose has a lot of citrus peel, a little potpourri, oranges, tangerines, some grass, a little flower pollen. Flavor is fairly well balanced, lightly sweet, light honey, bright orange juice, some nectarine. A bit too watery.

Normal pale ale aromas and taste, citrus from blood oranges softens the hop bitterness, but still has a dry finish. Overall good looking beer, medium creamy head and decent lacing. Hazy pale golden body, with some fruit and malt in the aroma, mild sweet flavor. Nice summertime brew.

220z Bottle. Pours looking like a standard Pale. Aroma of crisp citrusy hoips but not particularly fresh. Might be an old bottle as it was on sale and the local grocery store. Light crisp body and appropriate bitterness for a PA. A touch of bitter orange peel/pith to give it a bit of character. Decent.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a beige and yellow tint and a ridiculously nicely microfoamed golden coloured head - this looks great. Aroma of bright, fresh grassy and herbal hops with some sweetness, citrus and a good dose of resin at the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Mildish, malty, earthy and floral flavours at first with some oranges, yeast and bread noticeable. Aftertaste is very minimal and only showing some very light grassy hops, no malt, no sweetness and no complexity. Overall, an amazing looking and smelling beer, but sadly - it stops there. It makes sense at only 5.4%abv, but I wish it tasted as good as it looked and smelled! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Brown Jug (Spenard) in Anchorage, Alaska on 04-October-2013 for US$4.99 sampled at home on the opposite end of the country at home in Washington on 19-November-2013.

Draft at Smoke and Barrel in DC. Poured a nice clear amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was notes of oranges, some grapefruit. Flavor was nice, grapefruits, spices. Plenty of orange notes in this one. Pretty enjoyable.

12oz bottle courtesy of Anndiesel. Thick, unfiltered orange-tan body. Massive meringue type head. Pleasant tropical orange aroma. An interesting concoction, accentuates the citrus and brings an orange flavor into the mix. A little sweet and sugary, the artificial flavor isnβt a bonus. Assertive hops keep it going though. Not a bad beverage, but not the best beer.
