On draught at the brewpub in Portland with Muzzlehatch on 5/21/2005. Another light straw colored beer, only moderately hazy with a small white dying head, no lace. Aroma of light wheat, bubble gum, a bit of bitterness. Peppery flavor has highly attenuated malt notes. Lemons on the finish, lightly sour yeast and fleeting bitterness. Herbs, banana chips. Light body, VERY watery, moderate carbonation. 5/2/5/2/9

2006 bottle consumed on 4/15/06. Smells of plenty of bananas, cream of wheat, and sweet tangerines. Banana and citrus esters create a zesty spiciness while dry wheat adds substance. Deep pils malt smooth-sweetness that mixes with the citrus to come across quite juicy. Unfortunately, the small white head quickly fades to ring, atop the unfiltered, very cloudy body. Rusty, dried pineapple color or golden raisin, if you will. No lacing.
Warm honey-wheat dough, light pale malt sugariness and spicy, but light clove all come off boldly, with nearly-sweet wheatiness balancing. Juicy bubblegum and oranges burst about via natural carbonation. Correct attenuation and not too heavy on phenols. Estery, with very substantive wheat.
