This epic beer is a numerologist’s dream - 100 specific gravity points, 100 IBUs, 100% Centennial hops and 10.0% ABV. Imagine the prodigal son of Black IPA and Russian Imperial Stout, aged in Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 1999 Bourbon barrels. Our brewers combine the big hop flavor and aroma and sharp roast malt of a Black IPA with the smooth plum pudding malt and spirit warming of a Russian Imperial Stout. The Bourbon barrels add layers of vanilla, toffee, caramel and oak that increases the complexity to the point of absurdity. Our Batch 100 beer defies categorization, but it is an epic journey in your mouth.

Very dark brown color. With light brown head. Tons of bourbon, truffles, port, chocolate, burnt raisins, much more like a black barleywine. Very smooth low medium carbonation. Alcohol well hidden so smooth and bourbon very well integrated. Slight warming finish. Very well integrated and rounded. Fantastic.

22 oz bottle shared with a friend. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of big bourbon, dark chocolate, dark fruit, oak, booze. Tastes of big bourbon, dark chocolate, dark fruit, light floral notes. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Really nice with just over a year on it.

Poured from a bottle from the brewpub it is black with a slight head. The aroma is bourbon and raisins and the taste is a lovely blend if flavors that resonates with a strong flavor of bourbon on the palate. Hooray!!!

From a 22 oz bottle (marked bottle number 25) shared at the brewpub in Falls Church. Pours black with a feint tan head. Aroma of dark fruits and whiskey. Flavors of bourbon, plums and hints of chocolate. Boozy finish with an intense alcohol burn. Big and tasty.

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. The beer is a dark mahogany brown color with a medium creamy beige head and small patches of lace. Aroma of toasted malt, vanilla and hops. Full-bodied with a chewy dark malt character and notes of bourbon, pine, and oaky vanilla. The finish is chocolate malt and vanilla. Good beer all around.

On tap at Lupulin Reunion 2012 at RFD. Pours a translucent, nearly opaque mahogany brown with some beige head. Great nose, chocolate, malty, malt balls, caramel, coconut, vanilla. Big sweet flavor, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, whiskey. Soothing alcohol on a warming finish. Lightly sweet at the end too. High class.

Poured a dark brown color from the cask with absolutely no head at all. Aroma is heavy vanilla and oaked notes. Evan Williams comes through the flavor, most absolutely. No carbonation to speak of. A bit harsh, and at something along the lines of 15% (not 10% as advertised in print), the beer is a bit more mellow than I had expected.
