Nouveau Rouge is an aging project 10 years in the making, paying tribute to the sour ales of Flanders. This method of blending and aging creates a complex, tart and earthy ale with notes of vanilla and tannin imparted from the oak barreling process. With each year the solera evolves building upon it's award winning character.

Consumed for “Drink It Now” day, hosted by GenDV138. Poured a hazy, brown-orange color, kind of burnt with a small off-white head. Aroma is light acid tartness. Cherry skins. Flavor had a lot of vinegar tartness, oak. Dark fruit. Okay.

750 ml bottle shared for Allagash’s Drink It Now Day. Clear dark reddish amber with beige head. Aromas of vinegar, oak, light cherries. Tastes of vinegar, oak, light tart cherries, dark fruit. Medium body with a dry finish.

750ml bottle pours a muddy brown with zero head. Nose has apple cider vinegar, wood pulp, some nail polish, some muddle spice. Flavor has vanillin, wood pulp, pear, apple cider vinegar. Tart finish.

Plum, raspberry, citrus, and some tangy finish. Dark amber pour. Bottle shared at a tasting a while back.

From a bottle at the RB DC tasting September 6.it is a cloudy unfiltered apple juice color with no head. The aroma is sour cherries and the taste is like Ludens wild cherry cough drops that is more sour than sweet as expected

From a bottle at the RB DC tasting September 6. Pours a clear amber with a scant off white head. Tart cherry nose. Dank flavors of musty sour cherries. Liight tart finish.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a cloudy brown with no head. The aroma is strong oak, vinegar, vanilla. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, oak tannins, light, very good.

Light brown with at tough of reddish burgundy.Smell is pretty hard. close to style, very acidic, lots of vinegar on the nose. some cherry and wood. Very tart, thin and oily, touch of cherry, fig and sweet grapes.
