Nava Negra is a malt forward rendition of one of our favorite Mexican lagers. We used a blend of German Pilsner and Munich malts that lend biscuity and rich honey notes from start to finish. A gentle hopping rate in combination with a dry-ish finish makes this malt driven maven feel a touch lighter in body than its maltriarch.

Draft pour at Alma Mader Brewing in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is copper golden brown with a foamy off white head. The aroma is biscuit malt and honey floral sweetness. The taste is the honey biscuit malt, a touch of floral, and a nice earth mineral underneath. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and the crisp clean finish. Nice interpretation of a classic.
