This imperial stout was brewed in 2024 then aged for 14 months in a mix of sherry and Highland whisky barrels before being married with an aromatic blend of bitters and spicy but floral red chillies. Malt flavours of roast and sweet cocoa pair with vanilla and vinous whisky, before the delicate blend of bitters and red chillies open up an elevating warmth alongside light orange, clove, ginger, and herbaceous notes.

Appearance - pitch black with a foamy tan to fawn head it falls back a bit to look like cola.
Nose - dark chocolate, smoke wood and booze.
Taste - raisins, prunes, chocolate, hazelnuts and booze. Smoked wood at the back.
Palate - full bodied and rich, woody and smokey.
Overall - lovely stuff.

Can thanks to my bro. It pours jet black with a dark tan - brown head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, rich spice, warming red chillies, fiery ginger, dark chocolate, coffee grounds, vanilla sugar, burnt toast, pie crust, rocky road, jammy fruits, fortified wine and a touch of honeyed whisky. The taste is firmly dry, dark roasted malt, chatted oak, whisky soaked oak, jammy fruits, sherried whisky, umami, liquorice allsorts, layers of spice, Jamaican gingercake, warming red chilli, rocky road, Scottish tablet and vanilla fudge. Full body and average carbonation. Unique and quaffable.
