On draft at the Irish Inn glen echo md. Pours a clear gold with a thick creamy head. Bread dough aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Light flavored. Good session beer.

33cl bottle, as Superior Irish Ale, 4.5%. Poursh bright red with a creamy offwhite head. Something roasted on the nose. Aroma is of light roasted malts, a bit of caramel, soft grassy hop profile and some metallic tones. Taste is quite flat, nothing stands out. Texture is watery to oily. Mild and lightweight.

Tap at Taffes Castle, Carlingford - 25/08/12. Golden copper colour, slight chill haze with a thin white head. Grain on the nose, muted straw and hops, very little else - dull ! Grain, wheat and a slightly herbal taste - uninteresting! Light to medium body, higish carbonation and a bittersweet aftertaste. The blandometer was high on this one !

Dark ruby color. No head at all. Some German malts and wheat. Some level of pecans and burnt cherries. Very mild. Very little taste. Burnt wood, light fruits and some nuttiness. Drinkabiluty is high. The only redeeming feature of this beer.

Smooth and rich malty flavor, but it’s finished with milder hoppiness than in pale ale. Medium body, sticky texture and soft carbonation in palate. Pale ale is slightly better...
