We are thrilled to introduce FWD, a collaborative beer in partnership. with our good friends at Yakima Chief Hops. We were one of a select few breweries given access to some of YCH's newest and not-yet publicly available hop varieties to experiment with and explore. This West Coast Pale Ale is dry hopped predominantly with experimental hop variety HBC 1176 and a touch of Idaho 7 Cryo hops. With notes of lemon zest, red berry, and a hint of tropical fruit, we are excited to see where this new hop takes us!

Canned 4/29/26, drunk 6/23/26.
Really, really lovely nose is round, soft, but extremely expressive and aromatic, yielding melon, honey and easygoing tropical fruit. Lower acidity, but that's fine; it's not sweet/sugary, though the maltiness is lovely. Clean and no twang.
In the mouth it's wonderfully malty and flavorful for its size (well above its size). But still has proper attenuation. Some light bread and a good amount of acidity from hop, with honey, melon, berry and various unripe tropical fruit. A very well-made beer.
