Bottle. Aroma is great, light cheesy funkiness, bit spicy, earthy too. Taste is good, tropical fruit but lots of spice, pepper, bitter, grapefruit, cream cheese and chive. Yum.

Tap at Lingua. Clear amber with a thick head that gives a rich rye aroma. As the medium bodied balanced beer warms up it gives a bit of a floral hop quality. A good easy drink brew.

Pours nice copper, bit of white foam. Aroma is sweetish-fruity, some spices from yeast (or rye) also there, taste is hoppy and fragrant feels light and greatly balanced. Definitely sessionable, beautiful peppery spices giving extra character to it, finishing drier. Nice rustic beer, meant for drinking by the pints (if you can take it), perfect for that purpose.

Found at an import shop in Edmonton. Pours with nice huge foamy head and a good foggy orange body which has plenty of carbonation. Nice yeast and hops aroma with malts to balance it out. Flavour is smooth hops with tart spice and sweetness. Medium finish. I really enjoyed this one, well balanced and a great departure from the usual Japanese macros. Sampled at 12.4 degrees celcius.

Hazy brown color with an off-white head with good duration and nice lacework. Aroma has notes of rye, toasted amalts and caramel. Flavor is bittery, toasty and some spiced notes. Bitterness in the final with a mild dry mouthfeel.

330ml bottle from Deguchiya in Naka-Meguro. Poured into a snifter. Hazy brown color with modest soapy head that leaves yeast grazing the surface of the beer throughout the glass. Nice caramel, toffee, cinnamon aroma. Overly sweet with a touch of sourness on the palate. Pepper is also present on the finish. Overall great malty, sweet IPA.

Bottle at RBJG 2 Grand Tasting, thanks KyotoLefty. Amber colour with a small white head. Fruity hops aroma. Flavour matches the aroma, fruity hops.

Spicy rye and cinammon notes hit the nose with just a touch of citrus. Spicy, fruity, fig, citrusy mouth. Lingering bitterness. Rye is nice, but I didn’t find the beer particularly balanced - odd given that all other Baird beers are balanced, even if I don’t like them.
