An American style Imperial Porter with raspberries and cocoa nibs. The floral raspberry jam aroma is bright at first, and after a few minutes the toasted pumpernickel and earthy notes come through. Still loads of jam on the palate but here the cocoa nibs show their dark chocolate flavour. The dark malts add notes of espresso and liquorice. Smooth body with just a touch of hot alcohol, medium bitter and medium to low carbonation.

750 ml bottle poured into a snifter. Black with a tinge of brown around the edges and a finger of quickly fading tan head. Aromas of raspberry syrup, some chocolate. Tastes of raspberries, dark chocolate, coffee, light roasty notes. Alcohol is mostly well masked. Medium body with a dry and slightly warm finish. Flavors are a bit muted when cold, let this one warm up. Nice variant of Pandemic overall.

4oz sample at Churchkey’s 3 Stars 1st Anniversary event. Pours an oily, opaque black with some beige head. Nose of vanilla and chocolate, nuts, coffee, booze, light wood. Flavor has a ton of vanilla, caramel, icing, malt, coffee, toast. Very sugary. Full, roasty, vanilla finish. Pretty nice over all, well blended.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a dark color, brown colored head. Aroma was nice vanilla beans, cocoa. Flavor was rich chocolate, vanilla. This was pretty good, smooth. Tasty.

Draft at the source. Dark brownish matoon color. Aroma is like those little cocolate confections with raspberry jelly like substance in the middle, both the raspberries and the cacao come through. Taste is sweet milk chocolate and berries. Straightforward. Not bad.
