Can or bottle(?):Moderate dry grapefruity-herbal nose, cough-syrup and malt in the background; dryish bitter flavour with a slight residual sweetness, light to medium bodied; lingering herbal and grapefruity finish, hops stickin’ to the tongue. A good session brew…

12 ounce can I got from a good buddy...Robert A. Thanks!
I could smell the pine as soon as I pulled the tab on the can. It’s a slightly hazy honey gold colour with a firm 1" head of foam. It started off bigger but refuses to get smaller.
Smell? I already covered that above. ;^)
The taste is as piney as any I’ve had in a Pale Ale with more than a hint of some tropical fruit going on in the background. I get a bit of bready malt but nothing that I would remotely call sweet. As in sugary sweet, not as in sweeeet, this brew is good.
Perfecto mouthfeel, this is one heck of a delicious hop forward Pale Ale! --- Beer merged from original tick of Duckpin Pale Ale on 25 Dec 2014 at 11:25 - Score: 9. Original review text: Hot damn, Robert, this is an excellent Pale Ale! Cheers and Merry Christmas to ya!

Location: 12 oz can from a Harris Teeter in Baltimore, 11/11/14
Aroma: The nose has citrus and tropical fruity notes, some pale malts, and a little pepper/spice
Appearance: Its orange in color, mostly cloudy, with a small off-white head and mid-heavy lace
Flavor: Clean and hoppy, with some fruity flavors, a light sweetness, and a clean, mid-bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, pretty easy drinking, with average carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I picked up a 6-pack of this for the hotel room, and it made for a nice, drinkable pale ale. Didn't finished the whole pack, so I saved this one for a real time rate. I enjoyed this.

Clear golden and lightly copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of bright floral and perfumey hops with a good kick of malt and alcohol, but the hops really are front and centre in a good way! Light-bodied; Deep hop flavour at first that gives way immediately to a cardboardie malt and some light fake sugar flavours with a hint of peaches and pears at the finish. Aftertaste shows only some of the hops, but unfortunately more of a floral and herbal kick than anything else with the plain funky malt and not much else in the supporting cast. Overall, a great smelling beer, but after that, it goes downhill, Not a horrible option to try, but don’t expect too much from this one! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom), DC on 04-April-2014 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington on 12-July-2014.

Tastes a little better than rated for me but this was just the random after work beer I had around the corner from work. It ended up good though. Nice citrus hips profile here. Pours orange with decent head and lacing. Average bitter finish, average carbonation. Can.
