Unfiltrd Project #302
School’s Out 6.1% NEIPA. Vol 11 from Rock’n’Hops series.
Hops: Idaho 7. Talus. Citra.
Ian’s take:
If you’re anything like me… there was a place at every high school, for us, it was the ’South End’ that had the metal heads, the punks and all those whiprsnaprs - and it had a distinct aroma of wafting concert-like smells ;-)
School’s Out is a nod to the great Alice Cooper, and our interpretation of that is the last day of high school. Big and dank. Idaho 7 packing a weed-like aroma but delivering big tropical/stone fruit flavour. Talus adds a touch of pine and helps the Citra hops add some zingy citrus notes.
This is a middle finger to the principal on your way out.
And to all you teachers… a giant sigh of relief as you watch the last bus leave.
Enjoy your summer!

A hazed milky yellow ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, pleasant.
