On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a clear very deep amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a rich smokey note that even imparts a bit of bacon with a sweet dark grains. Flavor starts with the same bacon smoke note with a bit of underlying dark gains and a hint of roast.

Location: Draft at Ginger Man, 4/12/13

Aroma: The nose of this one had lots of sweet malts, smoky notes, wood, and a bit of earth
Appearance: It pours a clear reddish color with a small beige head and some light lace
Flavor: The flavor is more smoky than nose, but otherwise, the components are very similar
Palate: It has a medium body, a pretty solid mouthfeel, and a dry, smoky finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: This one was more on the smoke malt side of the style than the bacon side of the style. Overall, I found this one to be quite enjoyable.

Draft. Ruby maroon color, medium off white head. Aroma of burnt bacon, charred wood. Taste has a core of summer fruit engulfed in campfire. Interesting.

Draft. Deep brown body with a frothy beige head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of burnt wood, smoke, roasted malts alcohol, chocolate, earthiness. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Sweet malt malt flavor backs up peppery alcohol and bitter hops and acidic roasted malts. Light smoke, light ashiness thrown in. Nice that these are not overwhelming. A sweet doppelbock with roast and smoke.

Tap @ The Mayor of Old Town Fort Collins. Pours a dark red orange appearance with a creamy light brown head. Somewhat woody, smoky, light meat, chewy caramel aroma. Meaty smoky, burnt caramel malty, a bit herbal, toasty flavor.
