West Coast IPA w/ Hüll Melon hops

Brewed in collaboration with Wirth, this West Coast IPA is hopped heavily with Hüll Melon hops. Mind Your Melon pours a clear bright yellow with a lasting head of foam. Aromas of citrus and tropical fruit lead to flavours of honeydew, pineapple and watermelon with a balanced bitterness.

Wirth is a Vancouver-based brand that's funded close to 10,000 therapy sessions for individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford them. Through every hat sold, Wirth helps remove financial barriers to mental health support and makes care more accessible.

Hazy, dullish. Medium head. Bitter, it is a bit yeasty, malts are just okay, but the grapefruit sort of hop isn’t bad. Happy with the bitterness.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with a small, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Fruity aroma of biscuity pale malt, grapefruit zest, pineapple, apricot and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of biscuity pale malt, grapefruit, pineapple, honeydew melon, strawberry and pine in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Solid.

473mL can, pours a hazy yellowish blonde with a medium white head. Nose smells like a more assertively hopped German pilsner with all that Hull Melon: ton of grassy hops, with a crisp biscuity malt base. Flavour is much the same, with a big citrusy, grassy hop punch that works quite well in this IPA context, with a crisp biscuity malt base. Definitely a cool take on the style and good showcasing of these hops even though they’re not my favourite. Very good.
