Evolution de la Saint-Denis, bière du nom d’un Saint du village de Toernich, berceau de toutes nos bières. Pour cette création, le taux d’alcool monte de 7,5 % à 9 %. Elle se complexifie en ajoutant 1 malt et 1 houblon différent pour un total de 5 malts et 5 houblons différents. La recette évoluera vite par le remplacement du malt Pale Ale par du Cara 5 ce qui lui amènera sa douceur légendaire… en bouche.

(Draught at Delirium Café, Brussels, 17 July 2012) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, citrus and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, tropical fruit, candy sugar and a generous spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, well balanced and quite nice.

Cloudy light amber color with generous head. The aroma is actually quite fruity and moderately sweet. The mouthfeel has too much carbonation, the flavor is sweetish, a bit fruity, with late spices; correct bitterness, with some alcohol perception in the end.
Like an American attempt to brew Belgian ales; drinkable but unstylish.

Clear amber body with a creamy off-white head. Malty aroma of caramel and bit alcohol: rather subtle but nice. Heavily bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Very nice, warming, complex, well balanced. Fully bodied. Very pleasant and dangerously drinkable beer.

33cl. Orangée, beige épaisse et crémeuse. Arôme est houblonné, levure reprend la lignée de Millevertus, malt pale, côté fruité avec au fini une pointe de malt chocolaté. En bouche, houblonné allant presque sur un style IPA-belge. Levure est agréable, houblon reste doux avec une pointe herbacée et de pamplemousse et de variations tropicales ainsi que houblon allemand plus dans l’amertume, le tout est sec.

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a blond and tall foamy head. Moderately yeasty and mildly sweet malty aroma with present fruity and slightly piney hoppy notes. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Rounded (cara-)malty base with fruity and slightly piney hoppy flavours; sweet and slightly bitter finish with drying hoppy notes and a well-masked alcoholic strength.
