Evolution de la Saint-Denis, bière du nom d’un Saint du village de Toernich, berceau de toutes nos bières. Pour cette création, le taux d’alcool monte de 7,5 % à 9 %. Elle se complexifie en ajoutant 1 malt et 1 houblon différent pour un total de 5 malts et 5 houblons différents. La recette évoluera vite par le remplacement du malt Pale Ale par du Cara 5 ce qui lui amènera sa douceur légendaire… en bouche.

Stark hopfiger Antrunk mit kräuterartiger Würzigkeit, die etwas später einsetzt. Der Alkohol bindet sich hier gut ein, im Abgang wirkt er aber brennend innerhalb der Würzigkeit. Dabei nun eher hefig als hopfig, stark malzig zum Ende, was das Gesamtaroma aber nicht mehr an sich reißen kann. Aromatisch bitterer Ausklang mit angenehmer Hefigkeit. 12/12/12/12//12

Bottle at Peiffeschof in Arlon. Hazy orange color, off white head, moderate lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, yeast. Taste is light summer fruits, plenty of bread dough, light spice. Bitter finish. Decent enough.

Cloudy golden with a medium off white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with malt, hops, pine and fruity notes. Hoppy flavour with yeast, malt, and spicy notes. Finished dry and bitter.

Bottle, courtesy of Plovmand. A clear golden beer topped by a white head. Phenolic, citrusy nose that is quite nice. Citrusy flavor with spice notes, pale malty sweetness, some alcohol and a herbal bitterness towards the end. Medium body with a bit too much warmth. Not a very clean beer, and too warm, still quite far from awful. A whole bottle? I really don’t know if that would be doable. 090822
