Crisp and citrusy, this India Pale Ale derives its atypical dark copper brown color from malted chocolate wheat. Heavily hopped, the Chocolate Orange IPA’s bitterness blends with the dark chocolate flavors of the cocoa nibs added during fermentation. Those subtle chocolate notes rest behind a floral bouquet, enhanced by additions of bitter orange peel and dry hopping with Citra.

Bot @ room temp. Orange chocolate? heheheh, I’d like to taste that. Its just a big fat terribly on style cross between an impy IPA and a black IPA. Go figger. Perhaps the orange chocolate is in the sweet nose only? Mouth coating oily IPA.

Clear brown with light carbonation, sizeable foamy head. Aroma of hops with faint orange. More like a brown ale than an IPaA. Bitter finish with orange peel. Not so great, but ok.

Tap@BA Vasagatan.

Balanserad bra beska. Gott!

Tap at the Thomas Creek Pub in the Greenville airport (which isn’t on ratebeer, so I guess I’d better add it) - surprised this is not.entered as a black ipa, considering it is dark brown and has a lot of black ipa.characteristics - a fair amount of roast and chocolate character - some medium.sweet toffee notes - the bitterness of the malt adds an acidity that works well with the.bitterness and.citric character of the hops used - some tobacco - the roast is a little much on the back end, but this is pretty solid.
