Rum Barrel Aged Doppelbock
Our Liquid Bread Doppelbock aged eight months in rum barrels, then blended with fresh Doppelbock to round out the finish. Rich, dark and contemplative. Traditional Doppelbock malt depth meeting the warmth and complexity of rum. Expect toasted bread crust, caramelised malt and dark fruit, with oak, molasses, vanilla and a lingering spirit warmth.

Can. Almost black with a tan head that's soon less than a coat. Aroma is full of toast, dark sugars, stewed fruit and dark rum. Some chocolate and spices. Pretty much how it tastes. One of those beers where there's no overt alcohol but you can feel it's big. Oak and gentle bitterness appear after a time. Deeper than Liquid Bread but a little less elegant and transparent. But the oak is really deftly handled.

From a 375ml can on 3/7/2026. Pours a deep brown with a small, fast disappearing heads. The nose features dark and dried fruit with a whiff of rum. Tastes plummy, with touches of bready and caramel malt, and vanilla, with some warming rum at the back. Fullish bodied, with a lightly syrupy palate and average carbonation. A very pleasant winter sipper.
