This is the 2023 vintage (year the fruit was harvested) of their Apfel Cider. Made from organic Gold Rush and Topaz apples grown on the Völser-Egger Family Farm. The family has changed the process slightly for this year's vintage - 30% of the blend is Topaz apples fermented in oak, 20% Topaz apples fermented in stainless steel, and the reaming 50% of the juice blend is Gold Rush apples fermented in stainless steel. Blended post-fermentation, with a secondary fermentation in bottle.

Mojito glass. Hazy pale brown, suddy pour. Some gunk settling at the bottom.
Strong, incredibly perfume-y, macerated nose. It comes off like a mix of tannic grapes & sharp flowers.
Lemon, quince jam, bitter florals, apple sauce sweetness, slightly high acid. A tiny note that feels like this is still fermenting. Lingering tannins that double back on the burps.
Frothy, full bodied, strong carb, juicy, middling abv.
This is great.
