Tasked with creating two unique dry hopped blends, our brewers Nik and Nar went to work searching for creative hop combinations and selecting barrels that perfectly compliment these hops. The result is two drastically different, exciting blends of 1, 2 & 3 year Spontaneous Fermentation barrels that reflect the brewers’ own tastes.

For Nar’s Blend, he chose El Dorado and Cashmere hops for their citrus, herbal and ripe fruit character, resulting in a blend with juicy orange, grapefruit and marmalade flavours, with a round, bright acidity and compelling depth and complexity.

Amber. Haze. The aroma shows that dry-hopping right away, the lemon, the brett and leather, pear, wine gums. This is really nice - a lot of brett, wood, leather, again those pear, wine gum, and the citrus accents are pronounced. The finish is big, bitter, bright, complex, this one is awesome. Honestly, one of the best beers out of Canada this decade for me.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head, despite the bottle exploding. Nose exudes plenty of floral dry-hopping, gentle tropical fruits, followed by light-to-moderate barnyard funk, and a touch of citrus. Flavour really blends the barnyard funk beautifully with the dry-hopping—really great funk depth, wonderful floral and citric dry-hopping, with a touch of oak in there. Far superior to Nik’s Blend. This is fantastic.

750mL bottle. Pours a murky gold with a white head. Orange peels, stonefruit, and a tangy, musty yeast character on the nose; a bit of manure. Flavour has a really nice, tangy, musty yeast character, orange peels, lots of mildew. Finishes with an herbal, hoppy, bitter finish. Fantastic complexity, topped off very nicely with the hops. Excellent.
