This beer is a clear bronze color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Pine, hops and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, citrus and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Pours gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sour caramel aromas. Bready with cooked vegetables and toasted nuts. Not good.

Tap at Macgregors. Cloudy golden-orange, lace. Big citrsu hop nose, grapefruit, tropical fruits, crackers. Rather sweet flavor, honey and grapefruit, finish is a bit dull and weird.

Slightly hazy golden and light copper coloured body with a single centimetre tall light tan head - all with a bright gold glow. Aroma of deep piney and resinous hops, a lot of sugars, alcohol, peaches and a lot of apricots. Full-bodied; Deep resinous and piney hop flavours at first with a nice sweet flavour and some pungent and well-balanced malt notes throughout. Aftertaste shows a lot of sweetness from fruit, a deep alcohol undertone and a little resin flavour. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA, but not enough complexity or flavours to compare with other beers in this style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 02-November-2013 for US3.25 sampled at home in Washington on 30-January-2014.

Bottle: Pours cloudy, yellow-amber with a short, beige head. Orange/grapefruit aroma. Taste is sweet, creamy orange, pineapple and citrus with an herbal/floral bitter. A little peppery. Very mellow for an imperial.
