A ruckus of complex flavor is carried in on the amber glow of torchlight. As tension builds between hop bitterness and the malty tones delivered by locally grown and malted grist, a perfect balance is achieved. The robust texture of rye allies itself with the flavors from specialty malts and hops to rebel against preconceived notions of beer. Unseat the crown. Start a Riot.

Big citrus here. Pours cloudy orange with good head and lacing. Creamy consistency. Light to medium bitter finish. Poignant rye aroma. Tap at Meridian Pint.

16oz pour at Meridian Pint in DC. Pours a clear amber with some thin, white head. Aromas of orange, grapefruit, light soap, some malt, a little cracker. Flavor is similar, malty, bitter, orange, grapefruit, bread crust. Medium, dry finish.

Draft at brewery. Poured a pretty clear golden color with a slightly off-white head. Aroma was some spicy rye notes. Flavor was some sweet malts, and some rye character. Pretty enjoyable.
