12oz can pours a murky orange with some frothy, white head. Nose is interesting, plenty of ginger, a real grainy note - like a buckwheat tea, some grass, some citrus pith. Flavor is harsh, dried citrus rind, heavily tannic with tea, ginger, a little faux lemon, some grass. Opened up and got a little less harsh.

12 oz can purchased at Wine & Cheese, If You Please? on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. 4 22 15 printed on the can. The pour is a slight haze golden yellow with a two inch loose white head. Splotches of lace left on the glass. The aroma is grain, earth malt and a bright ginger. The taste is orange citrus fruit, bright ginger and the cracker softly sweet malt. The palate light to medium bodied with active carbonation and ginger in the clean finish.

Brewvival Trip Beer 78. Cask at Brewvival. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin frothy head. Decent head retention. Big fresh ginger aroma with some other herbal notes and pale malts. The taste is ginger, caramel, toasted malts. Much like ginger snaps. Medium bodied.

I’m very surprised and impressed that we got this one before North Carolina. Draft at ChurchKey. Clear golden color, bright white head. Aroma of subtle mixed spices. The ginger really comes through in the taste, but it’s not overwhelming. Very drinkable.
