This Belgian-style Tripel plays tricks on your senses with its easy-drinking notes of plum, spice, and banana. But don't be fooled by its pale color and crisp finish, this well-balanced beer is always looking to slyly stir up some fun. After all, "Bedotter" is the Flemish word for "trickster".

On tap at GABF. Pours a clear gold with frothy white head. The aroma is wheat, banana, yeast. Medium body, taste is wheat, clove, and bubblegum, not much going on with this one.

Draft at Lancaster location. Clear gold color. Sweet nose but not as estry as the other golden BSA on tap. Flavor is sweet but light bodied and not too strong sweetness. A little estry finish,. A lighter Tripel. Doable but nothin I particularly want to come back to.

GABF 2013. Pours a bit hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Fairly dry herbal hoppy aroma with some light fruit. Fair amount of banana, lemon, and citrus fruits in the flavor. Not overly sweet like some Belgian ales. Pretty tasty.

Cloudy gilden color, small white head. Aroma of sweet orange bubblegum. Taste is sweet and sour orange peel. Creative. Earlier Rating: 12/6/2011 Total Score: 2Draft at the brewpub in Wilmington. Murky orange yellow color, thin white head. Aroma of orange juice and heavy spice. Taste is similar, with blatant alcohol. I normally like this style, but this one doesnt do it for me.

12 oz draft at the North Wales location. Pour is a slightly hazed golden yellow with a smallish white head. Aroma of banana yeastiness, with some sharp citrus sweetness. Taste was the banana yeastiness, with a bit more of a spiciness to it. The citrus sweetness comes across more as honey and oranges had with some nice bitterness, but faded quite a bit mid palate. This was an OK Tripel, though I prefer one with a bit more earthy / grassiness to it.
