Super deep dark brown coloured body with a rich, three to four centimetre tall rich brown head that caps the beer nicely above an 80 per cent opaque brown body. Aroma of super strong peanut powder with a strong earthy and rustic nutty quality that doesn't smell like peanut butter at all, but there is some chocolate here, a dash of molasses and a bunch more of the roasted malt and oatmeal notes here. Medium-bodied; Not quite super rich, but noticeable malts from oatmeal and roasted grain with a light dose of licorice and anise but much more of the super rustic and earthy nutty flavours with a peanut butter powder/fake note and nothing of actual ground peanuts or peanut butter, even, but strong and deep throughout. Aftertaste is a little sweet with a lot of peanut butter powder flavours here as well, some light chocolate elements and some figs even, but little else aside from the deep malts. Overall, a decent at best stout with a ton of fake peanut butter notes and some light sweetness to cut through the nuts with a dash of sweetness, but this is pretty well potent and robust from the rustic nuts. Good to sample if you like peanut butter powder and very strong peanutty and rustic qualities without much sugars, otherwise off-balanced and a bit too strong, especially at three years in the can. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on 26-May-2019 for US$1,99 canned on 20-February-2019 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 17-February-2023.

Aromas are at first coffee then peanut butter dark malt cocoa and some roast. Flavors are like nose sweet dominates a little bitterness in the finish coffee shows up also in the Finish but not so much in the main flavors. Nice beer but a touch light and carbonation and body. Good finish overall.

Draft at Kraftwork. Dark, pours like a cola. Chocolaty and nutty. Thin for a RIS. Taste brings more of the nuts and some sweet roast grains. Finishes fast. Strong start then fades.

0,75l bottle at home from my Secret Santa, big thanks. No obvious BB date. black color, samll coffee-colored head. smells of bitter herbal, vanilla, roasted nuts, peanut butter, rather sweet and nuty after a while. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of vanilla, lightly nutty, rather ashy notes, bitter herbal. finishes rather bitter herbal / roasty with notes of ash and some herbs. okish, but did n ot like the balance, rather bittterish / ashy herbal. below average.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours black with medium tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong chocolate, peanut butter, roast. Thick mouth, chewy, cocoa, peanut butter, nice sweetness, vanilla, light booze, really enjoyed this.

Bottle shared by Matthew Wirtz, thanks! Quite straightforward in aroma, with lots of peanut and chocolate. However the flavour has an unexpected hoppy twist of moderate intensity - remains under peanut and roast, but discernible with a fruity and grassy flavour. Moderate body, well attenuated. I love these peanut beers.
