Hosanna in the Rye-est is a strong, bitter rye IPA reminiscent of the big rye West Coast IPAs that we fell in love with at the start of our craft beer journey. Hopped with biblical amounts of sticky American hops, expect bold punchy flavours underpinned by a jammy-rye base.

Can. Dram Shop. Very hazy, verging on muddy, dark gingery gold. Slick sticky lasting and leggy glossy white foam. Looks good. Nose has rich sticky malts. Spicy rye is well evident. Hops are similarly sticky with notes of sappy pine and well overripe citrus fruit and stone fruit. Old school US IPA shelf turding away on a warm bottle shop shelf comes to mind. And I actually don’t mean that negatively. Taste is rich sweetness with an almost instant sappy fruity bitterness. Sits well overall although it’s better well chilled than anything less. Bitter finish goes on a good while after the sweetness has subsided. I like this brewer. He rarely plays it safe and when he nails one it’s pretty good.
