Recorded by Charles Martell as 'one of the very best vintage pears.' This Gloucestershire variety makes a superb perry with light and easy drinking qualities, full of pleasant pear notes that give it a smooth flavour. It is gently acidic, with subtle notes across the palate of delicious apricot marmalade!

500ml bottle from Ross on Wye, for #rgpm. Sparkling, yellow golden colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of perry pear, floral, citric, funk. Taste is sweetish, perry peary, fleshy, funky, flowery, with some citrusy notes, drying acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry peary funky light tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
