Tar, pine, and soil nose, the former is dominant. Cola black, medium tan head, good lacing. Tobacco, pine, tar. Medium body, easy carbonation. Undoubtedly an IDA, but I like a sharper hop bite.

A dark brown ipa with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate malt with coffee grind, musty floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice. On tap at brewpub.

Draft at Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a dark brown color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of herbal hops with faint caramel and roasted malts. The taste is herbal, resin hops, nutty notes and toffee malts. Medium bodied with a mild lingering bitterness.
