The Brown Ale style originated in the pubs of England, where beer drinkers desired a beer that was both flavorful and complex, but at the same time mild enough to be a session beer. The Santa Fe Brewing Company's interpretation of this style uses a combination of high mash temperature, hard water, and low-alpha acid hops to produce a product that is both true to the style and distinctly Santa Fe. Brewing jargon aside, Santa Fe Nut Brown Ale is an easy-drinking beer, mild, smooth, and always a favorite. Try a keg at your next party!

Brown with a creamy, white head. Caramel and hazelnut aroma. Taste is mildly sweet. Simple. Clean, refreshing feel but lacking a discernible hops profile. Drinkable.

On tap at Santa Fe, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright grapefruit and tangerine zest, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is citrusy, with nice grapefruit and tangerine notes. Bright and easy, but nothing special.

Light nutty aroma. Thin flavour with a bit of nut and syrup. Very thin finish. Not bad, but not really good either.

Dark brownish-amber pour with a thin light beige head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted nuts and malt. Light-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of grainy malt and nuts. Slight hops in the background. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Average all around.

This nut brown poured a dark amber colour with a nice, foamy, tan coloured head. To the nose there are scents of sweet malt, passion fruit and dough. First sip was delicous with flavours of lightly sweet malt, light smoke and floral hops. Finish is rich and mildly sweet with earthy smoke lingering.
