Waxed bomber from mixmasterob. Thanks man! Pours dark brown with a creamy/bubbly beige/tan head. Very spicy aroma. I get the cinnamon. Something else - but I am clueless about mace. Med + body. Flavor is dry, sort of dusty, with cinnamon and I guess mace. It’s a little bit chocolate, mildly roasted malt, and there’s more, but difficult to piece out. The flavor is strong, and there are several aspects. Tho malty it seems to be more dry than not. Not getting a lot of bitter, but guess the spice fills that role. Good winter ale.

On tap at Brick Store. Pours a very dark brown with a grayish tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has dark grains and light roast with a hint of smoke and backing spice. Flavor starts with roast and dark grains with a hint of smoke and a growing spice note.

Draft. Brown color, medium off white head. Aroma of cinnamon and brown bread. Taste is more cunnamon with cocoa and coffee in the background.

Aroma: The nose is kind of spicy, has malty components, and some pine hops as well
Appearance: This beer pours a brown color with a red hue, lasting beige head, and some lacing head
Flavor: It tastes on the sweet side, with strong malts, lots of spice, and a fairly lengthy bitterness
Palate: It has a soft carbonation, a creamy mouthfeel, and a nice, lengthy spicy/dry finish
Overall Impression: I enjoyed this beer. I haven't had anything from Sweetwater in quite some time, but I remembered their beers being pretty good, and this one was no exception.

275ML 2006 Vintage. I acquired this in a trade with someone near the brewery along with a 2011 Vintage 500ML bomber. Very excited to try this. Poured into a Hill Farmstead Wine-Glass Style.

A - Poured a reddish brown to a darkness in the glass with toffee / red edges. 1 finger of head that dissipated very fast. There was still a pleasant hiss from the cap opening.

S - WOW! This smells amazing. HUGE peppery spices. Big cinnamon sugar scent. There’s also this really pleasant baker’s chocolate scent and citrus orange peel finish.

T - Very nice. Mild spices, mild citrus, toffee and chocolate. Caramel and cinnamon. All bitterness is gone and actually a bit boozy I guess age has made it more boozy? Cloves as well. Basically, all Christmas spices in a bottle.

M - Mellow almost no carbonation left at all. medium body. Slight boozy finish with some cinnamon notes.

O - This was nice! I almost want to try the fresh one but I’ll wait until Christmas to open that one.

Bottle: Poured a black with brown colored head. Aroma was sweet ginger and spice. Taste was similar with loads of ginger and spice along with malts.

22 oz. bottle. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is toffee, caramel, cinnamon, and earthy notes. The flavor is sweet, with a little bitterness in the finish. The palate is medium to heavy and a little grainy. This is a good, tasty, and christmasy beer.

Bottle obtained as an extra in a trade. 2006. Sweet malt and molasses aroma. Dull brown with no significant head. Roasty malt, spice, dark fruit flavor with a hefty alcohol wallop at the end. Medium to full body. Not a bad extra to have received.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty caramel finish.
