Purchased at Schlafly Taproom in St Louis, MO; enjoyed on a very hot Monday night in July, after a long boring day at work. Appearance a vibrant light yellow / hay with a pronounced white head. Aroma of lager yeast, soft malts, and maybe a bit of hops in the back end. Taste is pretty crisp, not too light and rich in bready malts, slightly grassy from the hops. Bitterness is very nice, this is a great pilsener.

on tap-pours a big white head and yellow color. Aroma is grassy, coriander, grain. Taste is grassy hops, hay, grain/light malt.

12 oz bottle purchased at Gomers in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Bottled with love on 12 08 2010 on label. Pour is a slightly hazed golden copper with a rocky 2 inch white head. Aroma is cracked grain, hay, grass and light herbal. Soft, clean, gentle nose. The taste moves the herbal more to the forefront, followed close behind with the sweet malt grain and the grassiness of the nose. The herbal grassiness has a bit of a sharpness to it. Clean like the nose, but not quite as soft. Palate is light bodied, but my no means thin. The carbonation level is just right, and the finish is dry and clean. Quite drinkable beer. I recently had a batch of this from last May, and it seemed to be less filtered, and the taste was much softer. Odd to think a Pilsner would improve with time, like more of a batch to batch variation. Regardless, nice beer.

Pours a clear, golden-straw with a full white head of tiny bubbles that disappates quickly leaving a collar. Rich malt aroma with slight spice. Medium, chewy mouthfeel with crisp yeast, crisp dry finish. Nice malt on the palate with great spicy hop, some harsh tones at the finish.

Bottle. Pours yellow with a moderate bubbly white head. Aroma is bread, lemon, and grassy. Flavor is similar to the nose. Sweetish, citrus/lemon with a grassy bitter finish. Soft carbonation combined with citrus makes it easy to drink.

bottle thanks Creedon, pours light yellow with a medium bright white head. Aroma is grassy with hints of lemon peel and hay. Flavor is crisp, sweet and mildly sour pale and grassy malts ending with a soft peppery finish. Nice stuff.

Bottle. Slightly hazy pale gold body with a fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing. Nice bready malt aroma with hints of toasted grain, grass and lemon. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter and a bit acidic. Dry. Medium body with a smooth texture that finishes between crisp and chewy because of the lively carbonation. Maybe a bit too sweet for a pilsner, but the balance of flavors is very good. A very enjoyable lager.

Slightly hazy straw body, thin-medium off-white head. Bready, cerealy aroma with grassy, spicy hops. Cerealy body with slightly tangy malt and grassy, bitter hops. Light. Crisply carbonated. Bready finish. Average pilsener.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a medium thin ivory white head that dissipates slowly. Thin rings of lacing. Mild hops and bready malt in the nose. Light-bodied and clean with grassy hops and grainy malt flavors with a touch of fruit in the background. The finish is lightly bitter hops with a short hops aftertaste. Fairly uninteresting overall.

Draft sample at Schlafly Bottleworks. They may have altered the hop load lately, their beer list shows Saaz, Marynka & Lublin (Polish?) hops. Anyway, color is to the light side of the style. Thin, clingy head. Faint malt smell with just a whiff of hop. Taste is light, light, light… but with absolutely no distracting adjuncts or off notes, and no "bowling alley beer" nose. Just a poke of pils malt taste. On tap, it may be as good a light lager as you’ll find in this Bud-drenched land.
