Today (May 24th 2026) we’re releasing our new special batch beer! A lovely Dark Mild brewed with premium Maris Otter malt, carefully blended with brown malt, chocolate malt, crystal malt, and crushed wheat - Mild Eddy yields a whole range of distinctive malt flavours! Delicately bittered with English hops.
The New River drifts along its course at roughly 2 mph, its surface only disturbed by the mildest of eddies as it meanders lazily around the 100 ft contour. The beer’s name is also a nod to Edmund Colthurst, the visionary and ambitious originator of the New River. Colthurst built the first few miles of the New River using his own resources, before passing the baton on to Sir Hugh Myddelton.
