Another collaboration with our pals at Chicago Culinary Kitchen, this golden lager features both German beechwood-smoked malt and malt smoked by hand in CCK’s kitchen in Palatine. The beer is fascinating - your first sips will be smoke forward, with hints of campfire and sweet BBQ tang, but as your palate adjusts, the malty sweetness of the Helles begins to assert itself and balances the smokey vibes.

Can. Pours clear golden yellow, large white head, fluffy and lung lasting with great lacing. Aroma is heavy hardwood smoke, light malt. Flanc is light sweet, light bitter, quite a bit of smoke. Light body. Noice

16oz can. Beechwood and Cherrywood. A really nice Smoked Helles. Not as thin or watery or pussyfooting with the smoked malt and some US Smoked Helles. The Cherrywood really adds some depth. Great beer.
