DC tasting. Mildly hazy golden tan, no real head, some foam around the edges. Pretty mellow for the ABV. Golden Tripel kind of beer. Has a delicate tea/chamomile balance. Nice and unique.

22oz bottle. Poured a clear yellow-orange color with a wispy, white head. Aroma had plenty of vanilla notes, some camomile notes there too. Sweet light orange citrus notes, some oak-wood in there. Caramel notes are sweet, some toffee character to it. Taste is moderately sweet here - and quite smooth. Alcohol is pretty well masked.

Bottle. Hazy yellow color, small white head. Aroma of lightly spiced straw. The spice and citrus and much more evident in the taste, and I think they clas a bit.

Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a fleeting white head. Fruity citrus and melon aroma. The flavor is somewhat complex. Sweet fruits and light candy. Lots of carbonation lead to a sprtizy mouth feel.

Sample at the Central OH BA Tasting at From The Vine on 06/02/2012: This brew is a hazed golden color with a medium white head that diminishes slowly. Partial rings of lace. Fruity and spicy aroma with some malt in the background. Medium to full body with notes of orange rinds, yeast, dark malt and spices. The finish is fruity with a grainy malt and yeast aftertaste. Above average all around.

Very weak malt nose. Cloudy amber, no head. Full body. Malt forward, cherry and apple hints, no hops. Not really mind blowing. Mainly dry and malty, light lemongrass.

On tap at the Windward Taco Mac. Pours bright orange with a thin, off-white head and very little lacing. The aroma is strong mandarin oranges, lemons, black tea, candy sugar, bananas, and some fruity esters. The flavor is very sweet, with a little citrusy tartness. The palate is medium, creamy, chewy, and thick. Surprisingly sweet aftertaste, and very little astringency or acid. Overall, this a wonderfully drinkable, sweet, and flavorful beer. This is one of the few successful high gravity witbiers I’ve tried, and by far the best. Well done. Here’s to ten more years!
