Tap at Arlington VA. Pours clear mahogany, large tan head, dissipates fairly quickly, nice lacing Aroma is roasty with tons of ashtray and cigarettes, plus a touch of coffee. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, a touch of astringence. Lots of tobacco and ashtray here. Medium body, creamy. Solid.

Draft. Clear ruby maroon color, medium beige head. Aroma of roasted coffee, subtle fruit. Taste is Starbucks, subtle cocoa powder. OK.

This is a pretty beer. Black with just a hint of red that can shine through on the edges as you hold it to the light. It is nitrogenated so it had a thick creamy tan head. The aroma was almost non-existent. The texture was creamy but a little thin. The flavor was sharp, malty and a bit bitter. A hint of bakers chocolate.

Tasted at the Cincinnati location. Strange color of coffee with butterscotch mixed in. Thin beige head with fast and thin lacing. The aroma is all roasted coffee. Medium body with mostly coffee flavor, as well as a touch of chocolate. Finish is a little bitter and sour. I think the beer would be better if it were more robust. It just seemed a little limp overall.
