Upland’s Harvest Ale is an American Pale Ale by design, but an even more vibrant rendition by loading up our hopback with freshly harvested Citra hops. Expect huge wafts of tropical fruit notes, balanced by a moderate bitterness and light toasted malt character. A showcase for one of our four favorite ingredients and a delight for all the hopheads out there.

bottle - Pours lightly hazy orange with a one finger, off-white lingering head that laces well. It has a citrus hop aroma. The flavor is of citrus accented hops with a slight herbal note, moderate bitterness, and tasty malt backing. It’s medium bodied and quite good.

2014 12oz bottle. Filtered copper orange body. Foamy white head laces the glass. Earthy, hop vine tones. Resinous. A touch dry, rindy. Not really what I would associate with Citra at all, not sure if that has been changed. A touch biting. Very fresh, but lacking big tropical tones, more in line with a classic NW bill..in a good way. A really solid beer either way. 2013 12oz bottle. Filtered dulled orange-tan body. Thin, steady white head. Earthy aroma, sort of subdued. The hop flavor is quite strong in the flavor, with some resinous eathiness throughout. Clean and drinkable, but pronounced hop tones. Not really much bitterness or bite, but the trained tongue certainly picks up the Citra. A touch vegetal, but quite nice beer. Well done, enjoyable stuff.
