This wheat porter poured a deep black colour with a creamy, brown coloured head. Nice lacing. Smells like a chocolate dessert! Other scents include roasted malt, leather, tobacco, ash and burnt toast. First swig was not as thick as expected. Very roasted flavours almost to stout level, with other flavours of Melloids cough drops, burnt toast, coffee, cocoa, molasses and smoke. Finish is all burnt and slightly sweet with smokey malts lingering.
