Cantillon Benedikta 25 is a lambic blend made in collaboration with Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa' (a pioneer pub of Italian craft beer scene in Rome) for their 25th anniversary. It is made with a maceration of Cesanese pommace (a red grape primarely grown in the Lazia region in Italy) from the renowned Damiano Ciolli domain.

Bottle enjoyed at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fá. Clear golden/burnt orange pour with a fleeting white head. Interesting nose, with I can’t place it. Not so much vinous maybe more like a fortified wine. Then again I haven’t tried the wine. Light barnyard funk and a bit on the sour side. Vinous and barrel backbeats. Good body and mouthfeel. It’s another solid Cantillon.
