The name Diversey & Lille is a riff on Chicago’s first brewery, Diversey & Lill (a Franco-American collaboration that dates back to 1833) and Lille (the capital of the North of France and a city near the Castelain brewery).

Brownish orange pour from bottle. A malty essence and some choppy floral notes. Pretty decent.

Flaška: Copper coloured, some floaties visible; moderate bready-malty nose with a mild honeyish background; sweetish flavour with a very mild bitterness, barely medium bodied; sweetish-malty finish with a slightly increasing bitterness in the very end. Not that good…

Just after telling my friends no American breweries were brewing Biere de garde, here’s this one. adequate but lacking some of the floral/spice notes of the French style. Medium amber with small beige head, malt, spice, meadow. Something missing.

bottle from saveur-biere. Hazy amber-golden colour, tall white head. Fruity aroma. Medium- to full-bodied, malty base with hints of honey and a shy fruity sourness, some of good and aromatic hops that add more fruit and a touch of resine.

Bottle thanks to Dallas I believe. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. The aroma is big sweet hay and caramel, some dust. The flavor is a clear flavorful brew with light citrus, dusty sweet malts, bubblegum. Good.
