Wild Hare is a classic American Pale Ale-richly hopped, fruity and floral. Munich malt nicely balances the assertive character of the U.S. Golding and Bravo hop varieties that give this brew its signature bitterness and aroma. Enjoy!

12 oz bottle from the Shiner Family Reunion variety sixer bought at WinCo in CDA, ID. Aroma is extremely bland for style. I think I smell floral notes, Pixie Stix. Pours hazy orange with a long-sustaining cream-colored head that laces a little bit. Taste is much better than the aroma, imparting a candy sweetness with faint bitterness in the finish. It’s all floral as far as the hops go. Creamy mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Easy drinking simple APA.

Nice fruity, citrusy, hoppy aroma, and it goes downhill from there. Amber in color with small off white head. Taste is caramel, fruit and some tingly hops. Mouthfeel is slick, but no aftertaste. This is better than rated, but could be better.

(tap) clear orange/amber colour with a small tan head; faint aroma of fruit; lightly acidic crisp flavour; it has none of the pale ale character, tastes more like a light fruit beer

Bottle hazy light orange with shades of pink creamy lasting sandy head . Very soft sugary honey aroma. Lacking in any hop flavors or aromas. Sweet and boring.

Location: 12 oz bottles, 9/9/13
Aroma: The nose is slightly off, with corn, straw, caramel, bread, and some fruit
Appearance: The pour is clear gold-orange color with an off-white head
Flavor: The taste is much the same, slightly off malts over weak hops, mediocre
Palate: The body is light, it is drinkable enough, but nothing special from a mouthfeel perspective
Overall Impression: I found this to be pretty unexciting and bordering on worse than that. I will not be seeking this one out going forward.

Bottle, 12oz. It’s a clear, amber beer topped by a dense, fingerthick light beige head. Quite sparkling, and leaving lacings. It’s quite malty on the nose, caramel, bread and some faint coffee hints, as well as pine cones and some grass and citrus. There’s not much sweetness in the flavor, but it’s malt dominated anyway. Bread, caramel, pine cones and some citrus peel, and a decent bitterness. Medium body, a bit too carbonated for my likings. Some metallic hints show up in the else malty and lightly bitter finish. Not so very pale this one, too malty, but it goes down. 130830

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Slow gusher upon opening. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of orange zest, pear, apple, caramel, bread, floral, grass, slight pine, light pepper, and light floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt and hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange zest, pear, apple, caramel, bread, floral, grass, light pine, light pepper, and floral earthiness. Light floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, caramel, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, light pine, and floral earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance of malt and hop flavors; with no cloying flavors after the finish. A little lacking in flavor robustness. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a pretty solid pale ale. Quite pleasant in flavor and balance, but lacking in some aspects. An enjoyable offering.

Not a half bad pale ale. Clean caramel malts, medium body and plenty of citrus and floral hopping in the nose and flavors.
